About the film:
Aleppo, 2016. A desperate attempt to save her family during a war, where childhood courage clashes with the tragic inevitability of fate. Twelve-year-old Yasmin lives with her family in a ruined city. The girl and her group of friends try to find a semblance of childhood among the ruins. When her uncle, the cruel Omar, kidnaps her grandfather, Yasmin and Hashim embark on a desperate, nighttime rescue mission. Their struggle against the brutal world of adults ends tragically: Hashim’s death and funeral, set against the backdrop of the exodus of residents leaving the devastated city.
