The Lying Goat
A long, long time ago or maybe not that long… Far, far away or maybe quite near… there lived a Housewife with her Dog Yappy, Cat Whiskers and a very spoilt Goat. One day, a girl by the name Zazulka knocked on her door. The Housewife decided to offer her a roof over her head and give her the Goat to look after. The girl tried her best, staying with the Goat in the meadows all day long, gathering cloves, bringing it water from a stream. But at night, when the Housewife asked the Goat whether it had had enough to eat, the animal lied through her teeth… The Housewife threw Zazulka out, but the Dog and the Cat asked her to make sure that the Goat had been telling the truth. Next day, the Housewife used a ploy…
