Dies Irae

Animation film to classical music from the “Animation Films to Classical Music” cycle.

A film miniature to the score of “Dies Irae” from The Requiem of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

This is an original film impression rendered in the painted animation technique directly under the camera (each shot will be painted with oil paints on canvas stretchers). The script is based on the New Testament Apocalypse according to Saint John. The author creates a story around the vision of the horses of the Four Riders of the Apocalypse. The year 2006 has been announced as the Mozart Year in the European Union. This film project is a contribution to the European and Polish artistic endeavours designed to commemorate this great composer.
