Shepherd of a Thousand of Hares
A long, long time ago or maybe not that long… Far, far away or maybe quite near… but this time it was a very long time ago and very far away, the brave Wshemil escaped from Tartar captivity. On his way home he met three old men. With one he shared water, with another his bread and the third received from him his last coin. The old men thanked him by giving him a staff, bag and pipe. When Wshemil arrived in his village, he saw that his house had been destroyed. So, he set off in search of work. In a roadside inn he was told that the Lord of a near-by castle was seeking a shepherd. Everybody warned him not to go there, because this was no ordinary job. However, Wshemil applied for the position and was told that his task would be to shepherd one thousand hares without losing a single animal…
