Of the Great Shame

Film from the “Fourteen Tales from Lailonia Kingdom by Leszek Kołakowski” series, based on the philosophical parables „Tales from Lailonia Kingdom for the Big and Small” by Leszek Kołakowski.

Rio, a young fisherman lives in the kingdom of Lailonia. He is in love with Muria but the girl does not reciprocate his feelings. So, when he is called up she is not very concerned.

Rio does his military service but at all times things of Muria and neglects his duties. One day he realises with horror that he has forgotten the colour of her eyes. He begins to shrink out of shame. A court martial sentences him to complete disappearance for shrinking without an order. Muria learns of this extraordinary story. Surprise shows in her blue eyes.
