The Black Goblin
A long, long time ago or maybe not that long… Far, far away or maybe quite near… in a small village amid swamps there lived a poor peasant with his family. At night, when the peasant was asleep, all sorts of winged, horned and hairy spectres and goblins came out to play in the swamp. At sunrise the goblins went to sleep and the peasant got up for work. But one day Black Goblin decided to see how it would be to play mischief during the day. Despite an interdiction, he sneaked out from the swamp and went to a near-by field. He put stones there, stole bread and milk. Swamp Spirit decided to punish Black Goblin and sentenced him to work for the peasant for as long as the peasant remained poor. Black Goblin turned into Black Farm-hand and started working for the peasant in return for board and lodgings…
