The Chinese Tambourine

A poetic film impression which introduces the viewer into the world of aesthetic motifs of Far East: a fan, vase with oriental ornaments, Chinese teacup, and fabric. A butterfly coming out from within an opening fan guide the viewer through the details of Chinese landscapes so as to come back in the end onto the fan which is then closing. The picture is synchronised with Fritz Kreisler’s music dominated by oriental motifs. It is an animation film made in the technique of watercolours on paper preserves the delicate nature of Chinese painting.
